Battlecity celebrates its one year anniversary without any trouble from Equiliser who was last seen in Utrecht a month earlier renewing his vows to destroy the game. Nobody knows what really happened the night he was last seen... The admin team has begun a full investigation, but no information has been made public.

The Battle of Utrecht takes place! Equiliser, Deadeyedyk, Curse, Commons and Meerkat are spotten within the fortress... Thousands of turrets, plasmas, sleepers and mines surround the hundreds of houses forming a gigantic maze around Utrecht. The Gods of War team consisting of gr8brian, Tony, Chris and CMB orb the fortress. Cerberus is set free, so victory seems apparent!

Private Lynk discovers a cave entrance which leads to what appears to be a giant underground maze near the south of the map. He reports his findings to Genghis who believes Lynk actually found the location where Cerberus (who was believed dead) is being held captive by Equiliser. Equiliser is found in Utrecht once again, this time surrouded by flaming plasma cannons... It appears that he was also torturing people by summoning them onto his CC, then removing walls one at a time until they were destroyed...

The Dark Lord returns despite all efforts. Upon return, Equiliser successfully built the "5 gate cross" which allowed for several other villains to escape the underworld as well. The only good news is that TkIMO was defeated and thus sent to the underworld!

TkIMO joins the Battlecity Administration team because he claims he can help with programming Battlecity v2.0. Many players are upset with this decision because TkIMO tricked the community into believing he was programming BattleCity when the game first went down, when he was not!

The Dark Lord attacks Battlecity, but is defeated! Everyone celebrates the victory, as the Dark Lord is sent to the underworld for eternity. Battlecity is finally safe from evil! The Dark Lord turned out to be Equiliser, the head administrator in charge of Battlecity when the game died. He was best known as the "King of lag" since before becomming head admin, he would spend his time teaching players how to cheat.
