Bug List - 2007/02/16 19:32 Unresolved Bugs:

Shooting through buildings 1
Shooting through buildings 2
Bottom row of cities off by tile
Problem using items while turning / More turning issues

Problems/Cheats/Abuse

- Players abandoning their city to orb it if worth a lot
- Players quitting when stuck in a DFG

How to abuse:

Build first two researches

Wait 20 seconds

Build house

Wait for researches to powerup

Demo all

Build next 4 researches

Wait 20

Build 2 houses

Wait to be powered

Demo all

Build 5 researches

Wait 20

Build 3 houses

Wait til powered

Demo all

Result fully researched and still 10 mill cash in 1 minute. After this you can build all or some factories. Power them with houses and build the connected researches but dont populate them. This makes income more or less match the production cost so you can build very fast without worrying about money.

Not really a treath to gameplay, more a way of boosting building strategy.

btw: I posted this and PMed you and remote I even showed you ingame this summer =p

Re:Bug List - 2007/03/18 23:21 Balkh bug still happens-- Balkh shows up on the list with a player (or blank space) as mayor, but the player's not really in Balkh so they can't ever tell the city they left.

When you orb a city, sometimes one turret will remain. This turret is always invincible and sometimes invisible to other people.

ok first thing first

ending up with 4 dfgs, 4 zooks and 4 lasers, i demonstrated this to rise, no idea how it happened, but after i died, i retained my laser and zook YET there was another one produced on the fact. (only since new update)

ALSO

fast winsock is a bad idea, it may speed up some players ping, but at the loss of the stability.... why not try a udp source instead?

remote said in another thread that he used udp for the java BC, but that it's not worth the effort to recode this BC to use it

remote said that the update two days ago removed tcp nodelay, to see if it was causing the lag

Uncheck the box to turn it off if you are having lag spikes.

This bug only applies to people who are in the same sector as the city when it is orbed. Leving the sector makes the turret disappear.

make it so that saboing is impossible (almost) by makeing team bombs unaffect team buildings (player1 trys to sabo city1 city1s bombs dont affect city1s buildings player1 is screwed)

and also, like when you go above 11 you point amout stays same, make this the same for all point ranks, so a 100 pointer stays at 100 even if they demo down to 1
