Crazy bored at work - 2007/11/02 22:48
Any good relatively simplistic, but at least picture graphics strategy games online that don't require any downloads?
I'm bored out of my mind since they took down WoW Battle Tactics. I guess I could go back to playing Knight Fight but since by now im way out of the top 10 and probaly in the thousands place I see no point. 
Out of curiosity did Battlecity get any brand new players lately that stuck to the game?

hey hey J-dub. I got nothin for you. What was that browser card game called? I played it a few times too... I think XShadow played it some with you too? Or maybe Gryfalcon. Probably Gry.
I liked that turn-based nation-building strategy game more tho-- I don't remember its name either. The browser one where spent turns collecting or spending resources, and I ended up getting invaded like 5 turns in. Hmm. Reminds me of that google maps game.
Hey there's an idea! Have you tried Cyber Nations? Apparently it's a google maps-based strategy game kind of like that other one I apparently can't remember. I haven't tried it-- I heard about it on the ocremix.org fourms.

Vind, you talking about Chron X? That wasn't a browser based game, but it was card based like MTG. It was fun, but I started dreaming about taking turns becuase of it so I quit playing. The player base was only a bit larger then BC which amazed me.
Anyway, I've played:
Monster Game
Knight Fight
World Of Warcraft: Battle Tactics (no longer available)
BOTS (still playing got 4 characters now: Blueshield [main], Pumpkinember, Ale81, and Vegas)
Utopia
Bots is really alot of fun if your playing against friends or enemies? Definetly as much player bashing as in BC so most ppl would feel right at home.  hehe I get called lagger and hacker at least twice daily.
Anyway, yeah we need to find a game we can all play that doesn't require me to download something. This is during the day anyway at night I'm either working, reading, watching DVD, or playing BOTS.

hehe new computer at work I dont think the graphics card can take the strain of me designing cities or playing on this pc.
As for BOTS i'll see you on there. Blueshield is like 94 or 95 level now so I've almost got him maxed out. Right now I'm using Uppercut II and Charge II along with two Trans-attack Flags, wings, Spartan helmet, and some mini-bot.
Pumpkinember is like 20 something level as is Ale81 which I think is 29.
Vegas is like 45 level I think.

For a good "relatively simplistic, but at least picture graphics strategy games online that don't require any downloads", you can always try Visual Utopia. It's better than 99% of the other strategy war games imo simply because of the map you play on and the effects it causes (you see your cities grow, your armies move, you can intercept another army on it's path, etc.)
Another similar game but with slower developement is Travian. Didn't try it very long but I know some people who just love this game.
Also, you might want to try Pardus, a nice little space game.
You can't resist a classic.

I tried playing the game again but I complety forgot how to play. It kept disconnecting me and the lag was un bareable!
