Personally, I think Billiam has a point. Given the setup of this league, it really makes no difference if someone smurfs in it or not. The main goal is to get as many players as possible online and into the battle so everyone has a good time. If they use different names each night, all they do is mess up their own stats since we won't combine them into one.
Agreed with Weebo, I really don't care who is smurfing or not and actually agreed with billian too because this is a Carnage no BCL ,does matter who you hire is all depend about the captain but we need to considered make evens team why? is because is better when we have a good battle ,about kick people for using different names I don't think so... we looking for more people.... we have no enough people in this CARNAGE why we need kick (kick if they really make bad move) just for using smurfs names? The main goal is to get as many players as possible...and should have CARNAGE every week !with prices included.

I also agree with Merloch and Nightwish.
Say HDO (the best players out there btw) decides to get 4 people on one team. How exactly would they do that? Well, for example, Merloch, would sign on his name and be an automatic Captain. The other 3 guys would make smurf names and Merloch would pick all those smurfs.
You now have a team full of HDOians, who would have no problem whatsoever orbing every single city.
And why would they do it? Because its fun to piss the BCL community off.

Smurfing is NOT a big deal and probably won't be. You mention malicious hypothetical situations, where people smurf to gain an "advantage"... (luck), but yet im sure no one has even thought about that... EXCEPT FOR YOU. and you could very well have a smurf character and there would be NO WAY for some one to know if you use a different IP address while playing. You idiots sound worse than homeland security trying to fight ara, I mean terrorists... 2EZ. BTW, The only reason people wouldn't think you have a smurf is because you say you don't--- which is E.Z. 2 do ... almost 3EZ, if you ask me. and since you are such model members of the community (Merloch), i'm sure everyone believes you. If some one wanted to truly be malicious (even with a makeshift "ban on smurfs") they could get away with it EZ because there is no accurate way to identify a smurf. Saying smurfing is illegal is basically encouraging the ref to disallow from the competition anyone he doesn't know or anyone who PWNz him consistently (which is my case). Which is complete bullshit and is a bad rule to have when you have fallable hosts trying to police such a FRAGILE, IMMATURE, AND GROWING community.
Maybe some one just wants to play on a different name? or two? what is wrong with that? Maybe Surge made his name when the soft drink SURGE was popular, but now is more of a FANTA man. Maybe ZEIKE wants to play as a "man" name because she is tired of getting harassed. Maybe knights wants to play on a girl name because he wants attention. Maybe I like the name Billiam because Bill is short for William and when you switch Will and Bill you get Billiam. PLUS, I am the Billiamaire so that is appropriate. I hve Billiams and Billiams of dollars, bitches.
I am not saying smurfing should be condoned at all. Really, what I am implying is that you will have more problems trying to police it than it is worth. Refs should be having fun with what they are doing and other players should have fun too. These are "problems" that occur in EVERY VIDEO GAME so wise up and stop being EZ

i dont think its worth it to try and police the smurfs whatsoever, most of the people that would be dicussing this topic anyways probrably dont really rely on winning bcl to live, those who do, might be the ones to use a scheme like that, oh well. i think a majority of people are here to have fun rather than get the stats, at least i know i am.
IF this scheme is realized, then proper action should be taken to identify/punish the team doing these activities.

Both sides have decent points it seems. With smurfing permitted, it is plausible that underhanded behavior could (and probably would) occur. Without it permitted, you limit the player pool and piss off lots of people.
I think my vote is to let smurfs play because who f'ing cares anyway?
