Gauntlet - Sept. 8/07 - 2007/09/09 08:13

Rise held a gauntlet tonight, as you can see from the picture above it was quite large. The gauntlet stretched from between Benguela and Huambo across Cordoba and ended in Buenos Aires.
Shortly after Rise built the outline, wdouglas logged in to help place turrets, but then Rise lagged out and failed to return leaving wdouglas to run the event.
There were a few different players throughout the night, as the gauntlet lasted around three hours. Gangster, Illest, Prince, Friguy, DarkSword, Tankinator, and later on Zhantrim all participated.
The game was action packed, as all weapons other than bombs were allowed inside the gauntlet. There was vicious fighting to hold a critical position and as some players got frustrated, things got a little out of control outside of the gauntlet itself.
Eventually everyone settled down and the event was a success with Huambo defeating a short bench from Benguela (namely DarkSword alone in the end) after a few hours of playing.
Zhantrim, Tankinator, Prince, and Illest were rewarded 200 points as a prize.
