I got to say this event didn't the way I planned it at all.
This stupid forum isn't letting me post pictures, so you will have to wait for the next paragraph to make any sense at all.
Everything inside the black line was the gauntlet. The lines starting from the starting cities show where they had to go to get to the sleeper room (big yellow circle) Once in there, they had a choice of 3 CC's to go after. I was hoping that each city would get an orb in. I made Albany, Utrecht, and Manukau worth 150 points. Albany was the first to go, then Utrecht, and finally Manuakau was orbed. I opened up the path to Admin Inn once the other 3 CCs were close to being orbed because I used it to build the gauntlet.
Ok, so this is how the gauntlet went. Rio basically dominated it. It was not my intention to let one team get every orb, but it happened. They were the first team to make it to the sleeper room, and had cleared out enough sleepers to start on one of the CC paths before Mango reached them. Albany was the first to be orbed by Rio. Even though I designed the gauntlet to give every team a chance to get an orb in, Rio orbed Utrecht getting another 150 points. After Utrecht was close to being orbed, I opened up the path to Admin Inn. It seems like none of the other teams wanted to play with Rio due to the fact that they killed all the other teams and controlled the path they were dealing with. So, while all 3 cities were working on Admin Inn, Rio got to work on Manukau which earned them another 150 points. After the other teams did all the work on Admin Inn, Rio came in and took it over. I had to leave rite before Admin Inn was orbed, so I can not tell you anything about it. I can tell you that I had to kick redrocket for building, and darksword for orbing 2 other gauntlet cities. Even though the other teams have nothing to show for there work, they did a great job. I'm pretty sure if they had fought for the orbs, they would have got them. Instead, they backed off when Rio started on their paths. GJ to everyone who participated, and I'm sorry if I did not mention your name. Too many people to record over a period of 2 hours. Finally, I thank -IGGY- for helping me construct the gauntlet.
Pics to come
